Teodora Yakova
Teodora Yakova graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in 2012, building her professional career in the field of law. For more than 12 years, she worked at a law firm, where she gained extensive experience in advising clients and preparing legal analyses in a wide range of legal areas. Between 2019 and 2022, she served as a Registration Officer at the Commercial Register to the Registry Agency. In addition to acquiring an in-depth practical perspective on commercial and corporate law, administrative procedures and interaction with state institutions, her work at the Commercial Register gave her the opportunity to participate in various working groups and initiatives for amendments to the existing legal framework, thereby contributing to the improvement of legislation and the optimization of processes related to the registration and operation of legal entities.
Her professional background enables her to combine legal expertise with skills in strategic planning, process management, and effective communication with institutions, organizations, and partners. Her work in legal practice has taught her to be analytical, precise, and attentive to detail, while her experience in public administration has given her a deep understanding of the regulatory framework and procedures related to institutional activities.
This combination of these qualities makes her a valuable professional, capable of leading complex processes, actively participating in legislative initiatives, and building sustainable partnerships based on trust and expertise—qualities that make her a strong addition to the team of the Lachezar Tsotsorkov Foundation in her role as Operations Director and Head of Legislative Initiatives and Institutional Partnerships.
