Bella Damyanova
For more than seven years, Bella has worked in the non-governmental sector, focusing on non-formal civic education, advocacy for child-related policies, the development of initiatives supporting children and families, and building partnerships between civil society organisations, institutions, and professional communities. She has experience working and communicating with institutions on advocacy priorities related to child well-being. She has also gained experience in project coordination and management, including the planning and implementation of complex initiatives involving multiple partners and teams.
In her professional approach, Bella combines a psychological perspective with an understanding of the crucial role of direct field and community work, as well as the need for sustainable solutions at the systemic level. In her work with children, she is guided by the understanding that it is simultaneously a challenge, an opportunity for learning, and a continuous process of discovery and innovation in which the involvement of adults is particularly important. She views support for professionals working with children as a key priority and an ongoing investment necessary to ensure sustainable, high-quality work for the benefit of children.
At the Lachezar Tsotsorkov Foundation, Bella is a Program Manager within the Child Protection program. In this role, she combines her psychological expertise, direct practice experience, and knowledge of the child protection system with her skills in coordination, partnership-building, and institutional engagement to support the development of sustainable solutions for children and families.
